Erasmus+ program enables a student enrolled at a school to continue their studies for a minimum of 3 months or a maximum of 12 months at a partner university abroad as per an inter-institutional agreement. Students who participate in this program will be eligible to receive financial support (grant). The grant does not aim to cover all expenses of the student but rather aims to ease the potential expenses of the student.
In order for students of İstanbul Kültür University’s Faculty of Engineering to benefit from the LLP/ERASMUS Program, which enables them to receive education at European universities for one or two semesters; the equivalence of undergraduate programs using the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) was established in 2001.

Pursuant to the equivalent grades between İstanbul Kültür University and ERASMUS Partner Universities according to the İstanbul Kültür University Senate April 5, 2012 and January 22, 2015 decrees:
- Table 1 should be taken as a reference to convert course grades of outgoing İstanbul Kültür University students,
- Table 2 should be taken as a reference for the course grades of incoming students who benefit from the program and study in Turkey,
- For İKÜ Partner Universities that do not use the ECTS grading system, it has been decided that the relevant departments and the European and International Relations Centre should prepare a joint resolution proposal and present it to the Senate for its approval in order to establish equivalence between universities.

Depending on the academic level, the duration of the program varies from 3 months to 12 months (1, 2 or 3 terms depending on the country) and will be completed in the same academic year. The academic level refers to the associate's degree/undergraduate, postgraduate, and postgraduate level.
