PROF. DR. NİHAL SARIER'S SECOND PATENT WAS REGISTERED AND PUBLISHED

Our Faculty of Engineering academician Prof. Dr. Nihal Sarıer (IKU) and Prof. Dr. Emel Önder Karaoğlu (ITU, Faculty of Textile Technologies and Design)'s second international patent titled "WEBS WITH COAXIAL NANOFIBER STRUCTURE, A TEXTILE PRODUCT CONTAINING THESE WEBS AND A PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF (KOAKSİYEL NANOLİF YAPILI AĞLAR, BU AĞLARI İÇEREN BİR TEKSTİL ÜRÜNÜ VE HAZIRLANMA YÖNTEMİ)” was registered by the UK Patent Office on 15.05.2024 with the number GB2597373.

COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN IKU FACULTY OF ENGINEERING AND DEKA ELEKTRONİK A.Ş.

In the "Faculty of Engineering Day" event held on Tuesday, 9 May with the participation of our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver and Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, certificates of achievement were presented to our students who represented our university in various fields. In the event, the technology clubs of our university also exhibited their projects.

IKU ENGINEERING DAY 2022

Istanbul Kültür University “Faculty of Engineering Day”, organized to celebrate academic, sports and cultural achievements of students was celebrated on Tuesday, 10 May, 2022 in the front garden of Ataköy Campus.

Event started with speeches of Rector and Dean of Faculty of Engineering Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and students who represent our university in competitions with projects they have developed, exhibited their works.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) launched the Dengeni Koru Social Equality Platform in order to raise public awareness against prejudices regarding professions and gender. Speaking about the subject, our Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, Dean of Engineering Faculty, stated that she observed the effects of prejudices in university and department preferences, especially in engineering branches. prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe said, “As of March 2022, the rate of female students in our university is 45 percent, while this rate is around 23 percent for engineering students.
